Call for Papers
This is an invitation to submit proposals for presentations to the MoodleMoot UK 2010 conference to be held at the University of London on Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 April 2010.
Download MoodleMoot UK 2010 – Call for papers formSubmission process
All proposals should be submitted on the form provided here via email to papers@moodlemootuk2010.org.uk by Friday 19 February 2010. We will let you know by 5 March 2010 whether your presentation has been accepted.
We have provided detailed guidelines to encourage you to tell us how your presentation will fit into the conference and to simplify the task of selecting proposals. Preference will be given to full developed proposals, but we also welcome other ideas, including those that don’t fit neatly into our boxes.
Types of presentation
Case study – These will be presentation of approximately 10 minutes that will focus on a single topic. We will group a number of these presentations around specific topics or interest groups for a parallel session and facilitate discussion.
Project report – These will be presentations of approximately 20 minutes on more substantial projects that are likely to be at a more strategic level. We will link this with another related presentation to form a parallel session.
Full workshop – For this option you will propose an interactive session that will take up a full 60 minute parallel session. You will have full responsibility for the content of the session.
Presentations should be about the use of Moodle in education and training environments. Sales presentations from commercial suppliers will not be accepted. Suppliers may book a stand in the exhibition area for commercial activities.
Description of the presentation
This should be a description of the presentation suitable for inclusion in the conference programme. Make sure that it will be meaningful to all conference delegates (not just your target audience) to help them decide if they want to attend.
Audience for presentations
The audience at MoodleMoot UK 2010 will be very varied in terms of role, sector and level of experience. Rather than establish fixed strands for the conference, we will be indicating on each session, which groups it is targeted at. Please indicate in the table provided who you think the main audience will be.
Other information
This section is for you to provide the reasons why your presentation should be selected – how the session will be organised, experience of presenters, what is unique and the benefits to the Moodle community.
If you have any questions about submission of proposals, please contact us at info@moodlemootuk2010.org.uk
